My name is Hanne Hellvik and I’m a Norwegian freelance feature journalist and photographer, which mainly covers social issues.
Up until end of 2019, I worked as a fulltime journalist for the newspaper Søgne og Songdalen Budstikke. I was five years in this position. After that, I started writing for Norwegian and international magazines and newspapers. I have by others been writing for Aftenposten junior, Klassekampen, Altså, Familien, FVN God Helg, Runner’s World, Vi Menn, Vi over 60 and Foreldre & barn.
I have a master’s degree in Development Management and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. I have more than five years’ experience working in the development and humanitarian sector. By others as the director of an NGO in Bolivia for three of them. I have also lived and worked in an armed conflict environment in Nigeria for six months, as well as in India. All in all, I have traveled to over 80 counties. Many of the articles I write are from Latin America.
